Document type
It is a mandatory certificate for all cargo destined for the Republic of Congo.
The BESC must be processed before shipment and the assigned number must be included on the Bill of Lading (B/L).
📌 Who must process the BESC?
The exporter or their agent/freight forwarder, using the information provided by the exporter and importer in Congo.

Commercial invoice (with currency and country of origin)

Freight invoice (if not included in the commercial invoice)

Customs export document (DUA or equivalent from the country of origin)

Complete data of the importer in Congo (commercial registry / NIF)
❗ What happens if you don’t process the BESC?

Detention or blocking of cargo at the ports of Pointe-Noire or other Congolese ports

Fines and surcharges applied by port and customs authorities

Significant delays in the clearance and delivery of goods

Risk of rejection or Cargo immobilization
🕒 When should it be processed?
It must be processed before the vessel departs and validated with the final information of the Bill of Lading.

Through agents authorized by the Conseil Congolais des Chargeurs (CCC) and their official representatives, both in the Republic of Congo and abroad.
