Document type
It is a mandatory certificate for all cargo destined for Burundi.
The BSC must be processed before shipment and the assigned number must be shown on the Bill of Lading (B/L).
⚠️ Burundi is a landlocked country; The BSC is required for goods entering via Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) or other regional transit ports.

The exporter or their agent/freight forwarder, using the information provided by the exporter and importer in Burundi.

Invoice commercial (indicating currency and country of origin)
Packing List
Freight invoice (if not included in the commercial invoice)
Document export customs clearance (DUA or equivalent of the country of origin)

Complete data of the importer in Burundi (commercial registration / NIF)

Through agents authorized by the Burundais Office of Freight Forwarders (OBR) or their official representatives in the country of origin or in East Africa.
