(Electronic Cargo Tracking Note)

Type of document:
It is a mandatory electronic tracking document, required for all shipments to Congo (Brazzaville).

📌 Who must process the ECTN Congo?
The exporter or the freight forwarder on their behalf.

📑 Documents required to obtain the ECTN Congo:

  • Bill of Lading (BL)

  • Commercial Invoice

  • Packing List

  • Export Customs Document (DUA)

What happens if you don’t process the ECTN?

  • The cargo may be blocked at the destination port (Pointe-Noire)

  • Administrative fines

  • Additional costs due to delays or storage

🕒 When must it be processed?

The ECTN number must be shown on the BL, therefore it must be obtained before shipment.

🧾 Where is it processed:
Through companies accredited by the government of Congo or by its National Shippers Council.
