Type of document:
It is a mandatory electronic certificate, required for shipments to Guinea.

📌 Who must process the ECTN Guinea?
The exporter or their freight forwarder/agent, based on the commercial documentation.

📑 Documents required to obtain the ECTN Guinea:

  • BL (draft or final)

  • Commercial Invoice

  • Packing List

  • Certificate of Origin (depending on the type of goods)

  • Importer’s tax details in Guinea

What happens if you don’t process the ECTN?

  • Possible cargo retention at the Port of Conakry

  • Financial penalties

  • Costs due to delays and storage

🕒 When must it be processed?

Before shipment, since the ECTN number must appear on the BL.

🧾 Where is it processed:
Through authorized representatives of the Guinea Shippers Council, also available in Europe.

⚠️ Important note:

This requirement applies to Guinea Conakry. It should not be confused with Guinea-Bissau (which also requires a waiver) or Equatorial Guinea (which does not).
